Altered Vinyl Record

Hello Happy Friday! Today I'm showing you my process on altering this Vinyl Record.

I start by using a Stamperia stencil and modeling paste

I get all my bits and bobs out and give them all a good layer of white Gesso

I'll have the links below with everything I used,the foliage is from a Tim Holtz die set. 

Now I start my composition by gluing it all down with gel medium.

Now for Color!!!! Its always my most favorite part!

I went super colorful with this one! I used Dylusions some  Cosmic Shimmer Shakers and Tattered Angels color wash

Now here I add white dry brush. When your using colors that are water reactive you really need to make sure the whole thing is super dry!

Okay I put these down then didnt like it at all! So I took out a Stampotique Stamp and used her instead!

 

I added Oh Jackie and then some white splashes and call her done!

Sealife in a clock

Dear crafters. Today I’ll show you a clock I’ve decorated in sea life theme. 

I took out everything that was inside the clock. 

I added ripped papers from Tim Holtz to the background. 



I added lace from my stash around the edge inside the clock. 



After I painted the clock with crackle paint from DecoArt Media, I sprayed it with two different green colors from Tattered Angels. 


I added oxide colors from Tim Holtz. 





I used flowers from Prima Marketing inside the clock. 


I colored with blue Distress oxide refill. I dropped it on my table and added water. I added some shells and a sea star from my stash. 



I used a lot of Stampotique stamps for the sea life theme.

Andy Skinner Inspired Canvas

HI! Happy Friday! Today I made a 10x10 Canvas using the Andy Skinner Sacred Secrets Kit from My Rusty Crown!

I started off using a Tando Creative Stencil (Bullseye) and Finnabair white Crackle all over the canvas.

After that was dry I used Finnabair Metallique Light Patina Paint and did a dry brush method all over the whole thing.

Next I used The new Tattered Angels Color wash paint in (French Roast) I used a brush to paint it on and used a baby wipe to blend and wipe some off. I was going for a grungy weathered look here.

Here I take the bits that come in the Andy Skinner Sacred Secrets Kit and painted them with Metallique Rusty Red and Steampunk Copper. the base was done with white crackle paste Cosmic Shimmer Shaker (Raspberry Rose) Color wash (Mimosa) and more (French Roast)

Now I added bits from Prima (mini Hardware) (switches and outlets)

I moved the heart to the top and filled it with Cosmic Shimmer Glitterbits (Coral Red)

Then I gave the whole thing a dry brush with white gesso. and added some Vintage Gold wax from Finnabair.

last step was adding some stamping with archival black ink,and adding black ink to the edges!!!
