Archway To Morocco

Happy Friday!
Today I'm showing you a 12X12 canvas using the Archway to morocco door by Hobbilicious.

I prep my canvas with white gesso.

Now I'm trying to figure out my composition. I have these prima chipboards I want to use.

I start off with basic Gold acrylic paint.

I now take my chippies and layer them with white gesso as well.

I love using makup blending sponges! i use this to add color all over my chippies.

I start with gluing them all down.

Now i just do some random stamping on them with black ink.

This step I needed this to be grungy to I took brown fluid acrylic, painted over the whole thing and gently dabbed off.

Here is a better view.

Now to work on the door! this came with easy to follow instructions!I just took each layer and used emerald creek embossing powder to add color.

Then its time to add my goodies. I struggle sometimes with grungy things.. I added mitform and flowers and goodies for the MRC shop. Ill have all thing linked below as always!

Embossing and stencil

Hello dear crafting friends.
I Am a bit late with this post but here it is. :)

I found a hen net that I wanted to use on my canvas.
I draw a head of a woman in cardboard and colored it black with gesso. The paper under is from Stamperia.

I added some structure and pattern to the head with this stencil from Stamperia. I used embossing powder under the head.

I colored the pattern from stencil in black.

I added some embossing powder as some kind of hair, and rust paste on a bit here and there to make it a bit “dirty”.

I added some patina gold on top of the embossing and rust at the face. And decorated around with some flowers, text and small details.

I splashed with orange color over it.

Thanks for looking!

Baby It's Cold Outside

Happy Friday MRC! Today I'm featuring a Pink Ink Design stamp. I'm using Luna Fairy and turning her from a spring fairy into a winter ,ready for snow fairy!

I am making a winter themed card using Luna fairy, So I start off with stamping my girl and flowers on watercolor paper, I'm using colored pencils for coloring.

After she is cut out, I stamper her again on my card panel that I also cut with watercolor paper.

See how she fits right on top? Now I dont have to fussy cut all the foliage.

Just playing around with my cuts to see how I'll layer it all!

I decided to go with Infusions powders. I used royal blood. I spritzed my paper then sprinkled the infusions

I used a baby wipe to soak up some color, then went over the color with white gesso.

Now I added some stamping ( using Jane davenport squid ink) and also embossed some snowflakes.

I glue down my flowers some lace and add some sequins.

I dabbed white gesso on the flowers and added Nuvo crystal drops to the centers to give them a winter look and thats all!
Ill have links for product down below!

Santa Journal Spread

Hey MRC! Hope your Friday is going great!
Today I have a journal spread using Christmas rice paper and Andy Skinner lava paste!

Alot of times I journal in old books,
I started off with a layer of clear gesso to prime my page,
We want it to be sturdy enough to hold up to all the mediums I throw at it.

Next layer is my rice paper,
I tore up all the edges so when its glued down you dont see any harsh lines.
I just used regular old mod podge.

Now before I start with my paste I give it another go with gesso, mod podge is a glue so that will make a resist. I need the gesso so my colors will sit on top.
Now here Im using a TH stencil and Andy Skinner Lava Paste.

You spread on your paste and heat set it with you heat tool.
Look at all that texture it creates!

I also took some white geoo and cover up some of the wording from the book pages.

Now My colors, You can use any you want,I'm using Lindy's.
Just spritz on and spray with water to get it to flow

Some stamping.

I took a pencil and shaded all around my pictures to make them stand out!

some word clippings and its done!

For you

Hello!
I have decorated a small book box and sprayed with those lovely color rich shimmer sprays from Dylusions.

I glued some decorations to my book. After dried, I added Finnabairs rust paste to make look a bit old.

After I added all I wanted to my book I colored everything with black gesso.

I used the Dylusion sprays in some different colors. They have lovely colors and they are soo rich in color.

I used a pencil to add the spray colors inside. I wanted the heart to pop a bit so I used some Ice Resin from Susan Lenart Kazmer in it.

Take care! Love Milo
