Studio Light Tags

     Winter Feelings Tags

I made two Studio Light Tags with the Winter Feelings Die cut Block, These Blocks come with so many Pieces! We are getting a big Snow Storm so these Tags are perfect for this weekend!

These are pretty easy to assemble! no fussy cutting just punching them out and go! First I coated gave it a layer Distress Crackle paint in (Picket Fence)
I tried some sprays but Its wasnt the colors I was looking for .

Here I just took Brown acrylic paint, watered it down and did a light watery layer over the crackle so those cracks shine through.

Some Background stamping. Ill link the stamps used below. I took my die cuts and some pieces I ripped, some I weathered with scissors. then I edged them all with brown ink.

the process of adding all the layeres.

White splatteres with acrylic paint and some ribbon and done! These are just so easy to through together!

Queen Bee Crown

Happy New Year! We are back up and ready to post some New Years Inspiration for you!

How about another Crown? We are kinda fond of crowns here! So Straighten yours up and lets get ready for some Inspiration!

I found this Wooden crown at my local store, of course you can use anything you want to jazz up!
First thing I do is cover the entire thing with White gesso. I just want to make sure whatever is left showing is white.

I used Dina Wakely Collage paper and put it down with some simple gel medium. I did both sides, then cut the leftover bits off. ( i glues those leftover bits in my art journal for future use).

Can you see the shine on this Icing paste made by Finnabair? Its gorgeous!
I used a Stamperia stencil and put on a thin layer of the paste.

After that dried I added a resin I made from a stamperia mould. It was a heart with gears. I snapped it in half and used that as my first layer of embellishments. I glue everything down with gel medium!

I used some flowers, art stones and metals, After my layers are on and dry I give the whole thing a layer of Clear Gesso, I want my flowers to stay red.

Adding color is always my Favorite part! just remember it always looks worse before the end results.
I started with Black and added it to all my art stones and in between the flower petals, That will help add some depth and dimension. I dry each color in between layers. Just some small amounts of red and spritz with water to get it all flowing.

To finish it off, I took an old paint brush and white gesso, I did the dry brush metho,  small amounts of gesso on your brush and dabbing most off, you lightly go over all your embellishments. I also took more icing paste and rubbed it on  with my finger. and some white splashes with watered down gesso. I added a little word with a Stampotique stamp and Edge the whole Thing with Archival Ink.We are gonna call her done!
